RESCUE TRAINING

Seconds Count. Safety Matters. Strength and Stamina, Skill, Knowledge, and a Willingness to drop everything when the call comes, a willingness to enter a burning building if someone is still inside. It doesn't just happen. Twice a month for four hours the Laurelbrook Volunteer Fire Department team spends time learning, and practicing skills and use of tools. We want to be READY!

COMMUNITY INVITED TO HAVE FUN WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT STAFF, (Fourth of July, 2021.

FIRE TRAINING BEHIND THE SCENES, PLUS SOME LIVE ON THE SCENE VIEWS

MUTUAL AID IS STANDARD PRACTICE. WHEN THERE IS A STRUCTURE FIRE MULTIPLE DEPARTMENTS ARE DISPATCHED. EACH DEPARTMENT BRINGS EQUIPMENT, WATER, FIRE FIGHTERS, WHATEVER IS REQUIRED.

Tried and tested techniques are used to extinguish the fire. The situation/circumstances determine how to fight the fire.

Watch for hats. White Hat worn by an officer in charge. Red Hat is worn by a Lieutenant. Black Hat worn by a rank and file fire fighter.

WE CAN'T HELP YOU IF WE CAN'T FIND YOU!

When we leave the station our FIRST concern is to wonder if we can find you?! Is your place well marked? Do you have your street number where we can see it easily? Seconds count, and already we have to drop everything we are doing, jump into our cars and drive to the station to get the Pumper Truck. HELP US!
