Who says that looking at youth in the rearview mirror means we cant' still be a blessing? At the Georgia Cumberland Camp Meeting following the meeting where the Heralds (Formerly known as the King's Heralds) sang, my buddy, Stan Schleenbaker went up to greet the quartet members. Stan served as first tenor of the Faith for Today Quartet on the TV series by the same name.
Stan turned 86 in April of this year (2016). Stan joined the Heralds singing the first tenor part that features his part as the lead. Don Scruggs can be seen standing beside Stan (dressed in the bright shirt). It is Don's part that Stan is singing.
I am sure it was a joy for Stan to step back into his role of yesteryear. I have to say God blessed Stan that night with a flawless presentation of his part singing: “If we ever needed the Lord before we sure do need Him now!”
